In Central Italy you will find the beautiful area of Tuscany. Tuscany covers an area of 22,990 km2 and has over 3.6 million inhabitants. The capital is Florence. The poplulation is made up of the following 93% Italian, 3% Albanian and 2% Romanian.

Tuscany is famous for it's amazing scenery. It is also known for it's rich and artistic culture. Many feel it was here that the Italian Renaissance actuallty began. Many famous and well regarded people are known to have come from this area such as Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei and Puccini to name but a few! Obvioulsy because of this the area has many museums, two of which are found in Florence, the Uffizi and Pitti Palace.

Tuscany is also famous for it's wines, such as Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Vino di Montepulciano.
