From "Grio", you can visit a region full of interesting archeological areas, historical and natural sites (Rome, the Farfa Abbey, the Greccio Sanctuary, the Marmore-Falls,the Tevere - Farfa Natural Oasis, the Tivoli Gardens, the Bracciano Lake and the Castle, etc. ). Rome can be reached in only 35 minutes and the famous Tuscany and beautifull Umbria regions can be reached in one and half hours by car. Family and children are welcome!

The history of Sabine and its people goes back in time. Its origin predate the founding of Rome and its people are among those who established the city of Rome.  Some of Rome’s original kings were Sabines.

The area extends from the shores of the Tiber to the Sabine Hills, the beginning of the Reatine Apennines. Among these hills, where for centuries olive groves have been cultivated, you will find numerous small medieval villages, castles and monasteries. Here, through the passing years, the landscape has remained essentially untouched and the unstoppable urban sprawl has had little impact.
