Les Hirondelles

Les Hirondelles is a character barn conversion situated in a lovely river valley in the northern Dordogne , ideally situated as a peaceful retreat, but within a few miles of the major tourist attractions and towns.
The mediaeval village of Condat sur Vezere, with its old Templar buildings and waterfalls, is a 1 mile walk along the riverbank.
There is a boulangerie, a traditional boucherie and a tabac with a small grocery section.

The Accommodation

The accommodation at Les Hirondelles is very flexible and up to date with stylish furniture and rugs, it is equally suitable for families or couples.
The barn has been sympathetically restored with exposed beams and stonework in all rooms.
Swimming is available at the local chateau or the Lac du Causse.
Families with kids will enjoy the many activities available locally - cycling, hiking, canoeing, fishing on our own private riverbank, horseback riding, paragliding and finally - relaxing in the sunshine.

Places to visit

The list of places to visit is incredibly long as the Dordogne is well known for its numerous castles and chateaux. Les Hirondelles is situated conveniently for all the major tourist attractions.
The Lascaux caves are within 10 minutes and Les Eyzies, the centre for the prehistory of man, is about 35 minutes - visit the wonderful cliff dwellings of prehistoric man and the multiple caves and grottos.
Go to Sarlat on a saturday morning and walk around the restored mediaeval town and street market.
Eat gourmet food and drink local wines - the list is endless to make your holiday in the Dordogne unforgettable.
